Why VITA?

Years of experience in the tissue industry have enabled us to create the most thoughtful, thorough, compliant and efficient programs in the birth tissue space. We maintain a small team and area to ensure that our programs and process are not disrupted by growth and ensure our experience remains at the forefront of our offerings.

What do you do with the donation?

It gets processed by an FDA-registered tissue bank that converts the tissue into biological products that can be used in a range of treatments and therapies across all areas of medicine.

Is it safe?

Absolutely. The collection of the brith tissue is completed after the delivery and once mom and baby are safely tended to by medical staff. The baby nor the mother are affected by this donation. Vita takes the after birth which is the placenta and the umbilical cord. The afterbirth is considered waste and usually thrown away.

Do you collect donations from aborted fetuses?

No. All donations are collected from healthy, consenting mothers who are scheduled to have a C-section. After the baby is born, Vita takes the placenta, called afterbirth. The afterbirth is considered waste and usually thrown away.

Why do you want the birth tissue?

Amnion and birth tissue have been used in surgeries and wound care since the early 20th century. Amnion contains healing properties, unlike any other tissue. These tissues have special biologic components with specific functions that encourage the healing process and even save lives. Your amniotic tissue donation helps patients heal faster and live better lives. There are a range of medical areas where amnion and birth tissue are used: eyes, dental, wound care and a host of other disciplines.

Safety is our first priority.

Our goal is to continue the beautiful experience of giving the miracle of life. We pride ourselves on the highest possible of standards of trust and care for mother and baby. We take great pride in respecting this important moment for the mother and child. This is further extended by gifting the gift of life to others.
